This pendant necklace is dainty - but definetively eye-catching. The robin bird impresses with its richness of detail. The highlight is certainly the orange chest, which is made of enamel.
Necklace and pendant are made of 18k gold plated sterling silver in vermeil quality (a thick and durable plating)
The robin symbolises new beginnings and life, and is also looked upon by many as a sign of fortune and good luck.
The well-known phrase, 'When robins appear, loved ones are near', alludes to the belief that when robins are seen, lost loved ones are at peace, and many believe that their lost loved ones are visiting them.
Maybe this is why robin birds are my favorite birds.....and I put much effort in all details described above.
Necklace length is 16" + 2" (40cm + 5cm) extension chain, so it is adjustable.
The pendant is around 0.8" long (2 cm).
